Day Three? Four? I’ve lost count, really.
Hey, D&Gers. This is Lani, here to say hi and blog about our adventures in Ohioland. Jenny’s home is lovely, and we spent most of yesterday here, only heading out to hit Frisch’s Big Boy. They should really just call it Your Big Ass and get it over with. But YUM! I’ll work it off later. We’ve also been watching loads of the fabulous USA series Burn Notice (watching television releases creative energy… no, really) and knitting and crocheting and talking and laughing - oh my GOD the laughing. It’s a good thing Jenny’s got a private little area here or someone might have called the police afraid America’s sweetheart had been attacked by hyenas.
But no… no such terrible thing has happened. She’s just being visited by hyenas.
Sadly, I have no pictures to share because I don’t take pictures. My children’s grandparents are livid about that, by the way. But I digress.
Yesterday, we stayed in and before watching Burn Notice (it’s so good, really, get the DVD set when it comes out, it’s SO GOOD) we actually made some fine (if by “fine” you mean “painful”) progress on the revision of Dogs and Goddesses. Actually, it was the good kind of painful, the kind of painful that is every opening scene of every book because openings are such a bear to write. However, we are making fine progress and I think, today, we might even get out of Chapter One. Of course, Krissie finished her Chapter One work yesterday and did the “I’m so pretty” dance ALL DAY LONG while Jenny and I suffered, and we didn’t kill her, which shows how much we love our Krissie.
But yes, all is well in Ohio, no one has died from being pretty, and the river is beautiful. And that’s Day Three. Or possibly Day Four. I have no idea, really…

Oh, how I wish there were pictures. Especially of the “I’m so pretty” dance.
Best left to the imagination, probably. Film may not be able to fully convey…
So jealous–yes, about all the obvious stuff, but also about Frisch’s. I used to live in Ohio. Not much I miss about it, but I do miss many of the restaurants. Even the ones that make my cholesterol level go, “Whee!” which, let’s face it, is usually the sign of a really yummy place to eat.
Burn Notice is fanatabulous! But you don’t have to wait for the DVDs, you can get it on Amazon Unbox: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0011NLF4U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=digital-video&qid=1202790335&sr=1-1
Keep up the pace ladies… don’t you have a deadline coming up? ;)-
Does this lack of blogging mean there is a lot of writing going on? I can hear the screams of laughter from here. This is going to be a fun book. What is the projected release date?
Keep those good times rolling. All grist for the mill.
Wish I was a fly on the wall though.
