Cats and Goddesses

I’m in LA where I just found out that dogs are not selling, so should D&G ever be made into a movie, the part of Wolfie will be played by a Siamese with an overbite.   This is why I don’t spend much time in LA.

Dogs aren’t selling now. It’s LA. By the time D&G gets made into a movie, they’ll be the next big thing. It’ll be dogs everywhere. :)

    I never did like LA.

I’m a Californian and I don’t like LA either (sorry OH).

Dogs are never out. Period. End of story. If dogs are out in L.A., then it’s L.A. that’s out. Not dogs.

    Isn’t that true?

    Shock and horror! No Dogs????

I spent all morning hanging out with a couple of dogs that could be in this book if you transformed Bailey into a stocky chiuhuahua with giant ears. And had a dog named Emmett. And this was a mere 5 miles from LAX near where a movie being filmed. There are dogs all over the place out here. Maybe that’s why they don’t think they’ll sell = it would be like reality TV.

Even more… You were in LA and you didn’t come let us love you??? (at a respectful distance of course) Drat! Yes, I would have had you sign A&TH, which was quite the fun read, but would be better if signed.

We don’t do booksignings in LA because LA does not Get Us. The Midwest Gets Us, as in understands us. Or something. Must be the dog thing.

Not in the midwest, but we in central NY understand and love you!

Pooh-pooh. Exactly how many people are saying dogs are out? What you need is one of those famous actresses who carry a little dog around in a purse, and was born in the mid-West, and has always wanted to produce/direct. Ask *her* if dogs are out.

I bet Geena Davis would want in on this Dogs and Goddesses.

And let’s think about this a little irrationally —

Three parapsychologists defeat the Sta-puft Marshmallow man. In or Out?

A woman jilts a guy in Paris during the war, then runs into him in Africa (of all places!) a little later. With her husband in tow. In or Out?

A Very Cute Couple run off the road and kill themselves accidentally, then come back to haunt their house, and run across a very annoying . . . being. Named after a star in a rather off-Broadway constellation. In or Out?

Archaelogist seeks fabled Jewish Treasure. In or Out?

OK, maybe, looking at this brief list of my favorite movies, I see your problem. You need some Nazis. Maybe Mina’s dog could be Hitler’s reincarnation?

Fire hydrants . . . for Hitler . . . in Ohio? (My apologies to Mel Brooks.)

Seriously, please don’t write for somebody making movies. They don’t know what the heck they want. Write to please yourselves, and then see what they say. And make sure you ask a lot of “theys” because it takes all types in Hollywood.

wish you could have snuck up to sf, we might have had a cherry gathering where i didn’t end up in the hospital with e-coli for a change.

Lani, I love your thinking and agree 100% and so does my beautiful 100lb Akita, Nikki. Hollywood has no idea what they want. The minute it’s out it’s hot again. And Jenny, you have a huge fan base in L.A. we totally get you.

BTW, cool site. I’ll be back.
