Pia

Wolfie’s cousin Pia is a high fashion model in NYC. Her posters are everywhere:

Pia sent Wolfie the green striped shirt in the window.

When Shar showed it to him, he said, “What is she, on drugs?”
Of course, at the time, Shar couldn’t understand what he was saying, but she got the gist from his expression.

Pia will not appear in the story, although it’s clear she and Bikki would be BFF.   Bikki would be mad for Pia’s Tiffany ad:

LOL! My daughter just got a pink striped shirt almost exactly like the one in the window (only human-shaped, of course). I will have to get her a polkadot scarf to match — that’s such a cute look for a little girl! Not sure about for a male dog, though. Unless he’s a fabulously divine, darling, sort of male dog. Which I don’t think Wolfie is.

Too fun! I knew pups were being used as fashion accessories, but had no idea of the scale. I’m with Wolfie in thinking it’s a bit demeaning and nuts. Though if the dog likes it, that’s fine.

I love that Tiffany ad! It’s so precious. Would probably make me buy jewelry like nothing else.

But Wolfie’s right, he doesn’t strike me as the type for high fashion. It’s probably a good thing Shar understood from his expression or he’d have been VERY unhappy.

I need to get a dog. And, no, I would not be buying him or her a striped polo shirt. ;+)

    Dog. Shaped. Mannequins.

    Wow.

Does anyone else find the idea of a doggiequin absolutely freaky, or is it just that I haven’t lived in the States for a while and am out of touch?

Does the fact that Wolfie has Pia as a cousin (and has ostensibly been putting up with her most of his life) mean that he will be able to relate to Bikki better? Or does it mean that he’ll have an instant allergic reaction to her all too familiar Paris Hilton ways?
