Squash
Squash belongs to Tallie (the missing priestess from the first scene). Tallie’s a vitamin salesperson, very hipped on nutrition, and she’s made sure Squash is healthy and happy. She even gives him dog vitamins.
When she’s not looking, he spits them out, but it’s nothing personal. Squash is a sunny, happy, easy-going Golden Retriever and although we haven’t written him yet, we’re pretty sure he has a drawl. Just a sweet good-old-baby.

“She even gives him dog vitamins.” Umm, what’s odd about that? My dogs get a bowl of kibble topped off with “live and active cultures” yogurt and brewer’s yeast and garlic tablets.
And they don’t spit them out. In fact, my 25-pound dog has to be restrained lest he go after his 65-pound adopted brother’s bowl with extra yogurt and carrots.
That is the most human grin I’ve ever seen on a dog. He looks like he’s about to talk. What a sweetheart.

I know, Courtney, isn’t he a love? You can find the best things on the net. Whoever owns this dog obviously loves him a lot.
A drawl sounds perfect for Squash. My dog used to spit out his pills also. I think he thought it was some kind of hide and seek game. He must have thought we were pretty bad at it.

Ooh what a gorgeous grin! Wonderful pic - you guys are finding the best shots! Our dogs think pills are treats ‘cuz they’re coated in cream cheese.
Our dog could lick a pill clean of anything we shoved it in except bananas because she loved bananas and ate them too fast to bother searching. But this is funny because I just got an email that a supplement I take has come out in a form for dogs. (Juvenon if you care).
